I'm Asmi Joshi, a San Francisco-based Product Designer.

I have 9 years of experience driving design and strategy, specializing in the B2B and enterprise platform space.

My path to design stems from a deep curiosity about understanding different fields, processes, and people. This is what first drove me to pursue a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and then eventually a Masters degree in Human-Centered Design and Engineering from the University of Washington.

This also helps me excel at what I do - create a deep understanding of the business domain and deep empathy for the people using those services.

I thrive working in collaborative, supportive, and empathetic environments. And I strive to create this in my teams. In recent years, I’ve also found a new joy in mentoring junior designers.

What my colleagues are saying

Quality / Excellence - in my time working with Asmi, I have observed and been the benefactor of the high bar which she sets for herself and any deliverable that she is involved with. For example, a key initiative in 2020 was our Purchase UIs, which she diligently reviewed, providing feedback to the team and ensuring we delivered a high quality experience to our EA customers.

— Product manager

Asmi's work on AD2.0 this past year has showcased her strong ability to tackle large encompassing projects and break them down into tangible views and insights. Much of her work on this project, surely will prove to be a seminal influence on current and future Product work at AppDirect.

Asmi is a rockstar. She owns everything she touches and cares about quality, content, design, workflow, and advocates for the user. When she brings me requests she understands the whole picture, from business drivers to tech requirements. Kudos to her.
